Finished object and a new one on the way...
I love this tam! I want to make more...baby tams, kiddie tams, plain tams, and fancy tams. So much fun! I haven't blocked it yet but wanted to post photos for you. I was going to add a tassle...but I think it's fine the way it is. The colors are so gorgeous. My non-knitting friends think I have such mad skills...if they only knew it was all in the yarn!
I had to add another shot of it. I can't get enough of Noro. The colors are so amazing. How do they do it? Yarn magic, I'm sure.
But first I have decided to try a lace project from the new IK(I'm still waiting for sis-in-law's poncho kit). I've had the Mission Falls 1824 cotton sitting in my stash for over a year. And when I saw that this shrug was knit in the same yarn, I just had to cast on.
First off, I must say I am thoroughly enjoying the way this yarn knits up. It is much easier to knit and softer than most other cotton I've worked with. I will definitely be adding more colors of this yarn to my stash.
As for the lace thing and the chart thing, so far so good. I'm actually having fun wtih the chart. I hope I'm doing this correctly...hey, it looks like the picture so I must be doing it right!
I ordered some yarn from ebay...Rowan 4 Ply cotton in black. My first pack of Rowan. I want to use it for Lucky Clover from Stitch 'N Bitch Nation. Lolly is hosting a KAL for this project. But I think joining a knitalong might be too much pressure for me. You know, being the slacker that I am!
Oh, well...back to having some fun with my shrug!
